Halloween Decorating
Each year, when October rolls around, you know what I start thinking about? My son's birthday, which happens to fall on October 31st. (Bet you thought I was going to say Halloween, didn't you?) Perhaps because I gave birth on that day, and because we celebrate his birthday on or near that day each year, I've never really done much decorating for this holiday. But now as my son gets older and doesn't want a big celebrate anymore (he's happy with pizza and cash), I've been thinking I should really start decorating for Halloween. I mean, honestly, what a fun holiday, don't you think? All those cute pumpkins and costumes and scary ghouls. Makes me wonder what I've been missing all these years.
So I set out on the Web to come up with some ideas, and here's what I found:
- As usual, HGTV offers a wealth of ideas for the holiday in its Decorating for Halloween feature.
- About.com's Interior Decorating area offers Fun Halloween Decorating Ideas, with links to centerpiece, costume, party, and decor ideas. Don't miss these great Fall Pumpkin Ideas.
- Looking for super-easy decorating you can do with the kids? Check out Halloween Party Ideas from Familymanagement.com.
- If you want even more family-friendly Halloween ideas, check out Halloween Crafts from FamilyFun.com
- Marthastewart.com has tons of Halloween Decorating ideas. Don't miss the super-spooky Silhouette Curtains for Halloween night, and this beautiful Pumpkin Chandelier. And dazzle your friends and neighbors with these light-up Celestial Pumpkins.
