Valentine's Day Ideas
Love is in the air. Well maybe not right now, but it's about to be in the air. As we near the end of January, that one big day is looming, and it's getting closer by the minute. Yep, it's almost time for Valentine's Day.
In my youth, and even into my twenties, Valentine's Day was a bit of a pain. I often searched for just the right gift, the one that said "I love you" or "I really like you" or even "I kind of think you're okay", depending on how my love life was going at the time. But finding the perfect card or gift, and figuring out what to do for that day wasn't easy. I remember several Valentine's Days when I was pretty stressed out. And it seemed like a shame that a day that was supposed to be all about love and happiness could cause such stress.
Anyway, now that I've been married for 18 years, I'd say the pressure is off when it comes to Valentine's Day. Now I just want to find something really cool for my husband and kids, maybe even spruce up the house a bit for the occasion, and the day is much more fun. Since I'm the crafty type, I like to create some of my own Valentine's Day stuff. Since I'm also the lazy type, I thought I'd better start searching fthe Web now, so I won't be caught on February 13th with nothing. So I found a few ideas I'd like to share with you, whether you're the crafty type or the "I'd like it already made, thank you" type:
