Deal of the Week
Since I relocated my home office area to another room this weekend, I wanted to get some organizing tools to create a really productive space. I already had a nice, framed chalkboard, but what I really needed was some sort of memo board and a file holder.
I started surfing around and found what I must name the Thrifty Decorating Deal of the Week: this jute File Organizer ($14.99 on sale) and Pinboard ($12.99) from Pottery Barn. They arrived in about two days and they are F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S!

Love this post - love this blog!
Just to add a few more low cost organising ideas that I have put on a recent post on my blog that will tidy up all of those receipts, letters and cards.
* Place reminders and daily notes on a clipboard then attach to the wall in a noticeable spot.
* If you are short of shelving or drawer space then keep items tidy by using a basket - this can also double up as an accessory for your room. File bills and notes in brightly coloured or co-ordinating dividers and keep them all in the basket.
* Keep paperwork in one spot under a pretty pebble or stunning paperweight.
* Invest in a 'PAID' stamp and ink pad so that once bills are paid you can stamp before filing.
* Store birthday cars, letters and other treasured items in sturdy cardboard boxes. Add colourful labels so you know whats inside.
* Put receipts on a spike file. if you need to check them again then they will be to hand. Use a cork to keep the spike safe.
