Feng Shui Friday

About seven years ago, I was working for a huge, international corporation, and I spent my days in a gray, fabric-wall covered cubicle. My work digs were downright depressing. Then one day, a friend and I decided to give our cubicles a makeover, Feng Shui style. My friend had located an article on how to accomplish this seemingly impossible task, forwarded it to me, and we both got to work on our spaces. I can't say the result was life-changing. I can't tell you that success and happiness suddenly descended upon me as I sat in my newly-balanced space. But, I must admit, the little changes did make me feel just a little better.

Feng shui is the ancient Chinese practice of positioning objects in your place to create better balance. Read the basics about the practice on Wikipedia, and check out Jobs: Jump-start Your Career With Feng Shui for ideas on improving your workspace.

Love feng shui! Going to have to read more about it though, but great idea to do it to your office seeing as how that's where we spend 90% of our time!
