Tip of the Week--Chandeliers Add Romance
Want to add a little romance to a room? Just add a chandelier! I've added vintage chandeliers to bedrooms, bathrooms--even my home office. For an additional touch of romance, wrap a wide ribbon around the chain (after you've hung it), all the way up to the ceiling, or add strands of plastic pearls draped on the arms of the chandelier. I've also used strands of bright, interesting, vintage necklaces for a funky touch. But a word of caution if you're using vintage chandeliers like I do--be sure to carefully check your wiring. I learned the hard way that I'd hadn't been thorough enough, when smoke started pouring out of one in my foyer!
